The 2009 Festival Itinary included:
Friday
Silent Movie Night
Friday night featured classic silent movies with a live piano sound track and classic silent movie era actors like Buster Keaton, Harold Lloyd and of course the Little Tramp, Charlie Chaplin. This two hour film feature was followed by a sing along.
Saturday
Amateur and Free Venues
Free concerts were held in the baggage room of the East Broad Top Railroad's Orbisonia Station on Meadow Street in Rockhill Furnace. Our featured artists performed. Walk-up talent was encouraged and a couple of talented artists took up this challenge. Later in the afternoon, Adam Swanson and your host, David Brightbill played together.
Train and Trolley Rides
Back in the golden age of ragtime music, the train and trolley were the most popular methods of travelling from one place to another. Experience what it was like to travel in those days on the East Broad Top Railroad's authentic steam train. A genuine early 20th century Baldwin steam locomotive pulls wooden coaches fabricated in the late 19th century through the rural Pennsylvania countryside. Your hour long trip to Colgate Grove on the East Broad Top can be followed by a ride on some of America's Historic trolleys at the Rockhill Trolley Museum, just across Meadow Street from the East Broad Top station. Train times are 11:00am, 1:00pm and 3:00pm. Trolley time is any time from 11:00am to 4:00pm.
Saturday Evening Concert
The Saturday evening concert featured performers, Adam Swanson, Bill Edwards, Bryan Wright and Martin Spitznagel. There were two pianos on stage and a fun-filled and entertaining musical evening was had as these performers showcased their talent.
Sunday
Amateur and Free Venues
The free concerts continued on Sunday in the baggage room of the East Broad Top Railroad's Orbisonia Station. Our featured artists performed again along with walk-up talent.
Train and Trolley Rides
The steam train and trolley rides continued on both Saturday and Sunday on the East Broad Top Railroad and at the Rockhill Trolley Museum.
